Wouldn’t it be great to know that for generations to come you can continue to help Iona ensure that older people in our community get the help they need?
Estate planning is the best way to make that possible. You can make a profound and lasting commitment to older adults and caregivers who depend on Iona for food, peace of mind, and community. And, in turn, we count on you to make that possible.
When you make a legacy gift to Iona, we make these commitments to you:
- We will continue to be good stewards of the funds you have entrusted to us.
- We will always honor and be respectful of your requests. If you wish to remain anonymous or wish to designate your donation to a particular initiative that is dear to you, your goals and objectives will always be paramount.
- We will be forever grateful for your support and the commitment you have shown to helping older adults and caregivers.
A bequest to Iona can be made through a provision in your estate planning documents (your will, a revocable trust, or other applicable documents) and is a straightforward process.
Here is sample language you can share with your lawyer:
“I bequeath________ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate (or the sum of $_____) to Iona Senior Services, Inc., located in Washington, DC, for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
