Promoting healthy aging through the arts and creative expression is an important aspect of our work.
Through workshops, discussions, exhibits, and more, Iona provides opportunities for you to pause, connect with your creative side, and see the world in a new way. Additionally, we encourage all who walk through our doors to engage creatively because best practices show that creative engagement increases your physical and mental well-being. The Lois & Richard England Gallery at Iona
Dedicated to Lois and Richard England, longtime supporters of Iona and the arts, our Gallery visually demonstrates Iona’s commitment to promoting healthy aging and creative expression.
From 2008-2018, our building featured artworks by talented artists from the area who were 60+ as a way to showcase how our community members age well and live well — and continue to creatively express themselves. Learn more about our former featured artists.
In addition to these shows, donated artworks by well-known artists such as Willem de Looper and Arlene Raven, friends of Iona, former Guest Artists, and participants in our Wellness & Arts Center enliven Iona’s building as part of a permanent collection.
