Are you looking for ways to support Iona’s mission and work? On Tuesday, August 15, consider joining Iona’s Safety Net Society, our monthly giving program.
As you know, older adults and families in our community face challenges, often unexpected. If you commit to giving once a month, you’ll help provide the consistent funding for services your older neighbors and their caregivers depend on. You’ll help older adults like Elnora, who is in her late nineties and is blind and hard of hearing. She still lives at home and is able to do so because of the devotion of her daughter, Mardecia, and the nutrition services she receives from Iona. Mardecia says participating in Iona’s food and nutrition programs has had a “tremendous impact on my mother’s financial wellbeing, alleviating my stress by knowing deliveries of shelf-stable food, cleaning products, and hygiene supplies from Iona’s Food Pantry Plus program are always there for us.”
Our monthly donors help to ensure that our caregiver support groups, nutrition programs, and adult day health centers are available for all families who need them. If we reach our goal of 75 monthly donors on August 15, we’ll unlock a $5,000 matching gift to further help support our work.
