During these summer months, Iona staff and volunteers have been able to participate in awesome events throughout the community. In June, Iona hosted a booth at the Capital Pride Festival. We asked individuals who visited our booth to write a response to the question, “What advice would you give to your younger selves?” and were left with hundreds of inspiring responses.
To celebrate Independence Day, volunteers and staff walked alongside neighbors in the 57th Annual Palisades Fourth of July Parade. It was an honor to connect and share our resources with the community!

On Friday, August 18. Iona’s Washington Home Center is hosting its inaugural Senior Community Day from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy music and games, while learning about Iona and other available resources for older adults. Join us at 3303A Stanton Road SE, Washington, DC 20020. The event will happen rain or shine. We hope to see you there!
