Satellite Wellness Ward 2 & 3 Advisory Committee Community Meeting

The DC Office on Aging (DCOA) has allocated funding to Iona to explore gaps in wellness services in Wards 2 and 3, and address the needs of older adults  by expanding and/or enhancing existing programming, and recommending new ones.

We are seeking input from Ward 2 and 3 community members as part of a needs assessment to help us determine the needs of older adults and the type of wellness activities they would like to see in the community, and to guide the strategy for wellness activities given that these Wards do not have a brick and mortar center.

Please join us on Monday, August 20 from 3:00 – 4:30 PM at the Cleveland Park Library Meeting Room 1 for a discussion on the Ward 2 and 3 Satellite Wellness Center.

TERRIFIC, Inc, the lead agency for Ward 2, will be co-hosting this meeting.

The tentative agenda is:

1. Draft needs assessment survey to Ward 2 & 3 Seniors
2. Map of services available
3. Suggestion of other sites
4. Possible website models/functionalities
5. Other concerns and suggestions you may have
