Thursday, October 11 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

| Free

Every year, millions of eligible voters are unable to cast a ballot because of a missed registration deadline, outdated registration information, or other problems with their voter registration. Now is the right time to double-check your voter registration status and ensure you can cast a vote on Tuesday, November 6.

Iona is helping register voters in our community. On Thursday, October 11, in collaboration with the Tenley-Friendship Library, join us at Iona from 10 AM to 2 PM to register to vote and check or update your voter registration status. You’ll also learn more about early voting and upcoming elections in Washington, DC.

Marian Wright Edelman famously said, “Democracy is not a spectator sport.” Even beyond midterm elections, adults must take responsibility to highlight the importance of democracy and model the type of engaged citizens we want our children to become. Join us on October 11. We look forward to celebrating our democracy with you!

When: Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 10 AM – 2 PM.

Where: Iona Senior Services, 4125 Albemarle Street NW, Washington, DC 20016
