| $10

Please join us at Iona on Wednesday, February 8 at 1:00 PM for an engaging and enlightening lecture with Washington Concert Opera (WCO) co-founder Peter Russell. The lecture will explore WCO’s upcoming performance of Beethoven’s Leonore and the history surrounding it.

Inspired by Napoleonic ideals and fervent nationalism, Leonore is best known as the first version of Beethoven’s more famous opera, Fidelio. Experience the triumphs and trials of a woman who will do anything and everything to save the man she loves.
