Memory Café

December 28 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

If you’re navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, it can be especially difficult to plan special time with your partner, spouse, parent, other family member, or friend.

That’s why we offer Memory Cafés for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers, family members, and friends to get together in a safe and supportive environment. This is a judgement-free zone. But, more importantly, it’s also a fun zone — where family and friends can enjoy good food, good entertainment, and good company.

What to expect:

Our Memory Cafés meet from 5-7 PM. Refreshments and an interactive activity are always part of the fun!

This month, we’ll be celebrating the end of 2018 and ringing in the New Year with dinner, dancing, and a live musical performance by Jesse Palidofsky  and Seth Kibel. Come sing, dance, or simply sway to piano, guitar, saxophone, and other musical stylings that touch the heart.

RSVP:

To sign-up for our next Memory Café on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM please email registration@iona.org. There is a requested contribution of $20 per couple. Iona is located around the block from the Tenleytown Metro Stop at 4125 Albemarle Street NW, Washington, DC. Limited parking is available in our garage, entrance located on 42nd street.
