Iona’s Take Charge/Age Well Academy is offering a workshop and food demonstration on the Mediterranean Diet, ranked the #1 Best Diet for Healthy Eating. Join Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Rose Clifford for information on how to make your meals more Mediterranean!
The Mediterranean Diet features a wide variety of plant-based food including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, legumes, beans, herbs, spices, and olive oil. Fish, seafood, poultry, eggs, and dairy are eaten in moderation, while desserts and red meat are consumed less frequently.
