Series: LGBT Public Benefits 101

Thursday, December 8, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Aging presents challenges for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals, not least of which are the legal challenges they may face regarding public benefits: Medicare Parts A, B, and D; Social Security benefits (disability, retirement); Medicaid; Qualified Medicare Beneficiary; Low Income Subsidy for Medicare Part D; long term care (nursing home), and veterans benefits.

This two-part workshop will provide participants with an overview of the federal and state programs regarding these matters, and recent legal developments regarding benefits for same-sex spouses.
