Art All Night: Made in DC is a celebration of contemporary art in all its forms. Local businesses, community institutions, and public spaces transform into pop-up galleries and performance spaces for an evening of art across the city. Iona is proud to exhibit and honor the work of professional and highly trained artists who are over the age of 60. We offer an exciting program of art, theater, music, and more.
Throughout the evening, tour the gallery with current special guests from the Wednesday Capitol Hill Arts Workshop; enjoy ongoing silk art workshops with artist Diane Tuckman; tap your toes to live music on Iona’s front porch with Willow Groove; sing along with a ukulele group hosted by Carol Beswick; witness a play reading of Night Sky by Pat Connelly and observe talented artists paint sunsets live on the streets of Tenleytown.

Night Sky, directed by Scott Sedar with Faith Potts and Barbara Rappaport. In Night Sky, Julia, a 76-year-old Bronx resident, loses her job and is faced with losing her home when she receives notice that the building where she has lived for fifty years is being converted to condos. With her best friend, Doris, Julia comes up with a plan for them to stay in her apartment, maintain their independence, and hold on to life as they’ve known it. The play is about the bonds of family and friendship and the inescapable changes brought on by aging.
