I am a philanthropist first and a sales engineer second in information technology business for the past 30 years. I worked for a number of innovative companies such as Dell EMC, Hewlett-Packard and SAIC. I currently work for VMware as a Solutions Engineer providing cloud platform solutions for digital enterprise.
In 1989, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from George Mason University, and in 1995, I earned a Master of Science in Business from Johns Hopkins University. I am a current member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
During the early 90s, I served as a board member for the Prince William Public Library Foundation. While serving, the main focus was to deploy internet access to computers at public libraries through donations and grants. I also volunteered for many years. I prepared and served dinners one Friday each month to residents of the Pathways program at the Calvary Women’s Services in Washington, DC.
I currently serve on Iona’s Board of Directors. It is my honor to serve on the board at Iona Senior Services, as well as contribute to its Weekend Meals program as a monthly meal deliverer. I believe in Iona’s mission to help people in our community age well and live well, and I am passionate about identifying technological solutions to help older adults to age in place.
Some interesting tidbits about my hobbies include running long distance races and being a good dad to my teenage son. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland with my son Matthew. When I am not at my job, you may find me at Matthew’s fencing club as well as on the road in various regional and national level saber fencing competitions.
