I a managing director in KPMG’s Federal Audit Practice in Washington, DC. I have spent over 15 years performing full scope financial statement audits of Federal agencies, as required under the Chief Financial Officers Act and the Government Management Reform Act.
In addition, I am one of the co-leads of the KPMG DC office’s KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) Chapter. The mission of KNOW is to deliver a wide-array of programs, including those that create a more compelling work environment and enhance career opportunities for women.
I am also involved with the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) serving on the governance and higher education committees at the national level. I previously served as a local AGA chapter president. I am an adjunct professor at George Washington University teaching governmental accounting and auditing. I am also a national instructor for KPMG and has instructed various trainings for associates through partners.
I was fortunate enough to be recognized by winning the DC office’s KPMG Chairman’s Award for high performance. In addition, I was selected by the Greater Washington Society of CPAs as a Woman to Watch and by the Accounting and Financial Woman’s Alliance as an Emerging Leader.
I am honored to service on Iona’s Board of Directors. Iona’s mission is so important and really resonates with me as I saw how hard it was for my parents to care for their aging parents. I think Iona would have helped them tremendously.
I graduated from University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Account, Certified Government Financial Manager, and a Project Management Professional. I live in Bethesda, MD with my husband, Matt.
