Local Senior Becomes Artist in Residence for Gallery at Iona
Washington DC- Acclaimed local artist Grace Lebow is the new Artist in Residence at the Gallery at
Lebow’s professional career has been varied, but she has remained dedicated not only to art but to the needs of seniors and their families. During her career as a Clinical Social Worker, she became a pioneer in the development of Geriatric Care Management. As an artist she has received multiple awards including: First place in the 2007 and 2009 Somerset Art Show, second place in the 2008 Somerset Art Show and second place in the 2008 Chevy Chase Women’s Club. Lebow’s artwork has been included in exhibitions at
Lebow explains how her life-long connection to art began in her childhood, “ever since I can remember, I have explored the world both visually and viscerally. I recall my great pleasure with patterns and colors at a very early age.”
