Current Iona Senior Services Executive Director Deborah Peeples Passes the Torch on to 20 Year Iona Veteran Sally S. White

Washington DC- Iona Senior Services announced  that Sally S. White will be assuming the roll of Executive Director. Iona Senior Services is a non-profit organization focused on aiding and enriching the lives of senior citizens and their families, as well as their caregivers.

Sally White is a non-profit Management Executive who has more than 20 years of leadership experience with Iona, most recently as the Deputy Director of Programs and Services. She has also worked with the Greater Washington Partnership for Palliative and End-of-Life Care and the National Institute on Aging Information Center PMA, Inc.

White is well educated, as she received her B.A. in Psychology at The University of Virginia. She also received her Masters in Science in Family and Community Development, accompanied by a Certificate in Gerontology from The University of Maryland.

White is enthusiastically looking forward to her new role at Iona, saying, “I am both honored and humbled to serve as the Executive Director for Iona.  I am looking forward to applying my knowledge of Iona and the community we serve in this new role.”

Amongst other things, White is skilled in fiscal management, strategic planning, day-to-day organizational supervision, problem analysis and personnel development.  Her dedication, high energy and demonstrated ability to motivate, appreciate and work with all types of people make her ideal for Executive Director at Iona Senior Services.

Current Executive Director Deborah Peeples will be returning to her home state of Florida. Peeples remains excited for White and optimistic in reference to the future of Iona, saying;

“It has been my deepest privilege to serve Iona for the last two years during this time of intense financial challenge and organizational transition. I believe that the completion of the new strategic plan . . .  and Iona’s strong management team, dedicated staff and committed board and volunteers will continue to provide the leadership, programs, and services to seniors and their families for which we have distinguished ourselves over the last three decades . . . and will help provide a more focused, viable foundation from which Ionamay grow.”
